DANCING IN HER FLAMES ☽ Spring Retreat Belgium
Vroeger kwamen vrouwen in cirkels samen. Ze ontmoetten elkaar met hun lichamen en zielen, om zo hun eigen, heilige vrouwelijkheid te eren en te waarderen. Door middel van dans activeerden ze hun levenskracht. En door het vertellen van verhalen, deelden zij hun wijsheid. In ons moderne leven hebben velen van ons de verbinding met deze oude verhalen echter verloren…
Dancing in Her Flames creëert bijeenkomsten waarin natuur, verhalen en dans samenkomen. Tijdens onze Spring Retreat duiken we opnieuw in onze oude ‘roots’ en verbinden ons met het diepe ‘verlangen’ dat in ons hart ligt.
Door middel van dans, zacht lichaamswerk, natuurwandelingen, verhalen delen aan het vuur en dromenwerk, zullen we onderzoeken hoe we onze relatie tot leegte kunnen her-creëren, zodat we niet steeds op zoek hoeven te gaan naar ‘vervulling’, maar (vooral) contact kunnen maken met het diepe verlangen dat in onze ziel leeft: de ‘dorst’ naar het leven en naar de essentie.
Wat als leegte een dynamische staat van zijn is, in plaats van een staat van ‘innerlijke vrede’? Hoe ziet de leegte in haar vrouwelijke vorm eruit en hoe wil dit verlangen in ons geleefd worden?
Voor onze tweede lente-retraite komen we opnieuw samen in de exclusieve en inspirerende locatie van Boda – met prachtige eco-gebouwen, gezellige slaapopties, een zeer mooie gemeenschappelijke ruimte, een enorme tuin, bossen en megalieten in het zuiden van België: Ardennen.
We zullen de ‘Tales of Longing’ van de Midden-Oosterse mythe Layla & Majnoon vertellen en verdiepen ons in poëzie, dans en muziek vol verlangen.

CAROLINE S’JEGERS
Als danseres en DJ gebruikt CaroLine muziek als poëzie, terwijl ze de taal van het lichaam spreekt en luistert naar de verlangens van het hart. De klanken van DJ CaroLine kunnen in drie woorden worden omschreven: gedragen, diep en soulvol. Als psycholoog (BA) en een culturele antropoloog (MSc) heeft Caroline zich jarenlang verdiept in de diepere helende aspecten van dans door culturen heen. Caroline brengt dans terug naar het land en droomt van een toekomst waarin het gemeenschapsleven bloeit en respect voor Moeder Aarde zich verdiept…

FARANAK MIRJALILI
Faranak Mirjalili is een toegewijde zoekster naar het Vrouwelijke en heeft haar werk gewijd aan het onderzoek en het dienen van het Heilige Vrouwelijke in een tijd van wereldwijde crisis. Na een decennium van ondernemerschap besloot ze om een oude manier van leven los te laten en van beroep te veranderen door student te worden aan de Carl Jung Academie in Amsterdam. Het werken met dromen en symbolen is de grote leidraad doorheen haar hele leven.

TALES OF LONGING * 29th March – 31st March 2019
Long long ago, women used to gather. Gather with their bodies and souls, so they could honor and love their own, sacred feminine. Through dance, they activated their life force. And through story telling, they shared their wisdom. In our modern day-to-day life, many of us have lost connection to these old stories…
Dancing in Her Flames creates gatherings in which nature, story telling and dance meet. During our Spring Retreat, we are diving back into our ancient roots, connecting ourselves to the deep ‘longing’ that lies within our hearts.
Through gentle bodywork, nature walks, story telling by the fire and dream work, we will look into how we can reclaim our relationship to emptiness, to the longing Soul yearning to be met, to be filled with the intoxicating sweetness of love that does not ‘fulfill’ you but keeps you yearning and longing for more as you come to know the true longing of the Soul.
What if emptiness is a dynamic state of being, rather than a state of ‘inner peace’? What does Emptiness in her Feminine form look like and how does this longing long to be lived within us?
For our second Spring Retreat, we are gathering again in the exclusive and truly inspiring location of Boda – with beautiful eco-buildings, wonderful sleeping options, a very cosy community space, a huge garden, forests and megaliths in the South of Belgium: The Ardennes.
We will explore and work with Tales of Longing from the Middle-Eastern myth of Layla & Majnoon and drench you in poetry, dance and music filled with longing.

As a dancer and DJ, CaroLine uses music as poetry, while speaking the language of the body and listening to the heart’s longings. The sounds of DJ CaroLine can be summarized in three words: uplifting, deep and soulful. As a psychologist (BA) and a cultural anthropologist (MSc), Caroline has absorbed herself for years in the deeper-lying healing aspects of dance across cultures. Faranak Mirjalili is an devoted seeker of the Feminine and has dedicated her work to the research, revival and serving of the Sacred Feminine in a time of global crisis. Faranak comes from an entrepreneurial background of 10 years where she build 2 companies and managed teams from an early age. After a decade of entrepreneurship, she decided to drop an old way of life and switched profession by becoming a student at the Carl Jung Academy of Amsterdam. Working with dreams and symbols are her guiding thread throughout her life. Dance is an integral part of moving through various stages of transformation and crisis.
