Due to unforeseen circumstances, Carrie Tree and Kusñi Love will unfortunately not be able to join us for this first weekend retreat at Ferme Du Hayon. We will keep you in the loop about when they will come to Belgium, we are now looking for dates in Spring time. This also means that everyone who already bought a ticket will be refunded.
However, since Caroline S’Jegers and Josse Horsten are living on the lands of Hayon, they decided to host a more intimate family gathering during this very weekend. Sooooooo… they warmly invite you to:
THE "WINTER WARMTH” COMMUNITY WEEKEND!
ABOUT THE COMMUNITY WEEKEND:

With a deep desire for community and connection, we are gathering for this winter gathering in the enchanting natural environment of the Gaume region in the South of Belgium.
In the weekend of 12th until 14th January 2024, we will be taking all the time and space to slow down together – and to reflect on the transition from darkness towards the light again. This community weekend will be hosted by Caroline S’Jegers - poetess in motion - and Josse Horsten- edible food forest designer, together with their two young boys Hazel and Thuja. This means that kids are welcome as well, since we want to create a space in which we can simply be together, and have lots of space for what wants to arise in the moment.
Since we hardly have any fixed plans for the weekend, you can except for a whole lot of coziness! On Sunday morning, Caroline will host a dance and on Saturday evening, Josse will host a singing circle. On on Sunday morning, we will go for a long walk in nature together. We will thus have plenty of time in between to cook together, to sit at the fire, to be outside, to sit in silence and to give back to the land (we will be planting small fruits together in the garden). This also gives us the time and space to feel into the moment what wants to arise!

This weekend will be hosted in Dutch and English, with the possibility of translation into French or some basic Spanish/German ;).
ABOUT THE LOCATION:
With a heart for sustainable living, the Farm of Hayon and its cooperative (Land of Hayon) are anchored on a gorgeous and outstretched land, which extends over 68 hectares - divided into 52 ha of agricultural land and 16 ha of forest land. The project helps to develop awareness of our individual and collective responsibility to preserve and take good care of the earth. In the center of the land stands a beautiful and rustic stone building from the Gaume region in Belgium. The land has a few natural springs, so you can choose to take cold baths in the morning (and yes, we also have warm showers inside)! We nourish our bodies with vibrant water from one of the springs. What a blessing!
There is a possibility to stay in one of the shared cozy, comfortable and rustic rooms in the guest house of "Maison d’Amis". Please let us know as soon as you can whether you are coming, and with how many people. And also with whom you wish to share a room/bed.
ABOUT THE FOOD:
On Friday evening, we will welcome you with a soup and bread. This will be our arrival evening together, so you can bring some small potluck snacks along with you that you can add to the soup. And then, during the weekend, we will be cooking together, so we ask of everyone who joins us to take vegetarian ingredients with you. Such as: vegetables, fruits, rice, pasta and everything that you love to prepare - so we will have enough for all of us! Please, bring organic food and products only. We can offer potatoes, bread and goat cheese from the biodynamic Farm of Hayon. If you have any special dietary needs, please also bring what is essential to you.

(!!) How to get there: only follow this link on your gps! The link on google maps will guide you to the wrong road. You can only enter Ferme du Hayon by driving to Rue d’Avioth (49.5958694, 5.4647834) - and from there, you can follow the road signs.
We would like to encourage rideshare by car (so please send us your email and telephone number when you wish to join us for the weekend, then we can make a WhatsApp or Telegram group), and in case it is needed - we can also arrange a pick up if you come by train (to/from MARBEHAN station).
