An invitation to celebrate life together -

by diving into a day of music, dance & ceremony!

With a strong desire for community and connection, we are gathering for this ECSTATIC ROOTS FESTIVAL in the enchanting garden of Paradiso, Bassevelde (Belgium).

 On Saturday 31st August 2024, we will be taking our time and space to arrive together – and to celebrate life in all of her diversity. This mini-festival will be hosted by Caroline S’Jegers, founder of ícaro * roots to create, and will bring together artists and musicians who will share their passion with us!

The vision behind ECSTATIC ROOTS FESTIVAL is manifold, as Caroline will both be celebrating her 42nd birthday ánd the 10th year anniversary of Ecstatic Dance Belgium (which she co-founded back in 2014 together with 3 ex-colleagues)!

More than ever, it feels of huge importance to come together and to co-create spaces of transformation. So healing can take place, and so we can make an end to - what can feel like - an endless cycle of suffering and separation. Because as Ram Das so poignantly shares: “We’re all just walking each other home”.

So while bringing dance back to the land, we will also be creating a ceremonial space where we start with what moves us from within: an intention, a prayer, a movement, a song, a wish, a longing, a breath, a moment of silence… And from here, the music and creative workshops will guide us further into our deepening exploration together.

ECSTATIC ROOTS FESTIVAL is a family friendly event. A gathering to remember who we truly are, and to let our dancing prayers ripple further out into the world. So bring your kids, partner, neighbours or best friends, and let’s celebrate life together!

Early bird: 50 euros/adult

Regular bird: 60 euros/adult

Doors: 70 euros/adult

(10% of the income will be donated

to women's peace movements.)

SIMPLE GUIDELINES FOR SUPPORTIVE SPACE:

* Bring clothes for all kinds of weather :).

* Possibility to sleep in the garden (bring your own tent and gear).

* No dogs allowed.
* Be full of care with the kids, the spaces & the plants.
